Kidder's Assumptiomn

Kidder's assumption is that to make a difference you need to make sacrifices. I agree with him because to make a difference you must actually sacrifice your time and effort to actually change things in the world. Money can help but that ratio of eight to 150,000 still stays the same. Without more people in Haiti progress cannot be made. To make a difference there must be enough people to make a difference. Money can only go so far. I also believe that if you yourself cannot make a physical effort to help in Haiti then raising money can also help. It's understandable that many of us can't go to Haiti and help because we have no experience and are simply too young. This statement actually helps support and maybe even guide our Common Senior Experience project because we simply can't just raise awareness, although it is a good thing, we must also take action.
