I have to agree with Kidder's assumption that in order to help people there is something that you must always give up. Such as, when it is the weekend and I go play basketball and have fun rather than study and be ready for a test. There is always something that you love to do or want rather than need to but don't care much for it. Now with Farmer's incident he is devoting his work 110% to these patients/natives in Haiti. He rather starve himself to death than see a person die due to a disease or of starvation. This man is caring, loving, and compassionate. Kidder makes his assumption quite straightforward and kind of over the top, which means that he is being too sarcastic with his statements about the sacrifices.
Like how instead of writing that Farmer is putting 100% you stateded that his work is more than day.
ReplyDeletegreat stuff luke, i like how you stated the fact that hes compassionate and loving.
