Chapter 7 Reflection

This chapter is written from the viewpoint of Ophelia Dahl, the young lady that fell in love with Paul. The chapter begins with a letter from her to him letting him know why she can't marry him. BUT she says "In the end, I hope you know that as a part of my histology, you can never be replaced." This viewpoint of Ophelia lets the reader see different ideas and thoughts about the same character. The biggest problem that Paul had was that he was always devoted to his patients first and everything else comes second. Just a few chapters ago the reading stated that "he had no hot water for himself." He rather spend his money on medicine rather than his own needs. So with that being said his love for someone could never workout.
