This chapter starts describing some of Farmer's actions in Haiti in order to improve their bad situation. First he continues collectiong data for his census, that now is using as a manual, to identify the problems and began building records so later he could compare all his results and analyze how well his solutions have worked. After some studies, Farmer came with the conclusion that water has closely related to the health of the people, and their main source of water was an underground river that was miles away from their village so he contacted some engineers to build some pipes for Haitians to get easy access to the water and eventually infant deaths began dropping and there were some improvement in Haitian's overall health.
