Ch.4

In chapter four of mountains beyond mountains, i learned that the U.S. government had built a dam in the middle of the Artibonite River, called Peligre Dam, that was supposed to stop the river from flowing. But after the dam was built, Haitians' farms started flooding causing many people to lose their homes, crops and animals. The dam was also supposed to generate power, but eventually it didn't even do that. It turned out that the dam benefited the U.S. more than it did in Haiti.
