Shes Greek!!!

Hello second period class, my name is Athena Cabrera. I was born in San Diego, California in the year 1994, and I am 17 years old. My ethnicity is Greek, Cuban, and a little bit of French. A lot of people mistake me for being Mexican and usually come up to me and start speaking Spanish, which I really do not like and don’t speak. I am very proud to be Greek because it makes me unique at a school.
I am very nice and a considerate person when meeting me, but I must admit that when I see people doing foolish things or being really immature I do not add you to my friend list. I am tough and not easily fooled, and I have a very strong personality and high self esteem. If you put me in a group project I automatically try to take a leadership role. My group of friends calls me the “Alpha Dog” because I stand up for them and because I am tough. I love to help people and meet new people.

Some hobbies that I do would be playing soccer and playing the piano. In soccer I usually play defender, which is a position to help the goalie and to stop the other team from scoring. I love that position because it feels like a battle to stop that girl in front of you and get the ball away from her. I also have been playing piano since I was five, and recite in competitions to help me apply for college.
I also love hiking, I love nature. My cousin and I always go hiking at Mission Trails and it is such beautiful scene and so relaxing, I just love it. Another thing about me is that I am very family orientated and I think family is the most important thing in the world. I also enjoy going on hanging out with my friends, and I cannot wait to start this senior year with excitement and adventures.

My goal this year is to have fun with my friends and have an awesome senior year. I might plan to run for Vice President for the senior class, because I want to make sure everyone has a fun year and that it is a memorable experience. I plan to also play on the Varsity soccer team and try to achieve a banner before I leave this school. I just cannot wait for prom and grad night and upcoming dances, hopefully this year will be memorable. Outside of school my plan for college is to join the criminology program at SDSU because I want to become an undercover detective.
