Hello everyone! My name is Jacob DeGuzman Santos. I was born in Olongapo, Philippines, but I was raised in Chula Vista, California. I am currently 17 years old and my birthday is on May 13, 1994. Tagalog should have been my first spoken language, however, because of my move to Chula Vista, English became the first language I spoke. Ironically, English is my favorite subject, and Math is my least favorite. History and Science are okay. As of now, I am a senior at Olympian High School, class of 2012.
I was raised strictly, due to my family's military background. My dad is a retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 in the U.S. Navy. Also, my brother was a 0-2 First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Because of this, I used to be constantly moving houses, losing friends, and gaining some. I've been to Japan and Hawaii as far as I could remember. I finally settled back in Chula Vista, when my dad retired. After, I was able to meet a lot of new people and make new friends. Many of the people I met in Japan, became my friends when I moved to the U.S. That is how I could tell that they have had the same experiences I have had.
I love to travel and go to places that I have never been to. New experiences for me are always a must in my life. Learning new things is a part of life that interests me. There are many professions that I considered over the years. Some of them consist of Radiology, Psychology, and Physical or Respiratory Therapy. I decided not to follow the path of joining the military and start a new path of joining the medical field. I thought a lot about joining and serving, but in the end, I knew that helping people, curing them, and making it easier for them to live, is what I have a passion for.
Awesome post! The pictures go along with your writing.! Excellent job!
