Ch 5 & 6

In these chapters I learned about Farmer's family. How he had three brothers and three sisters, and his mom was a cashier. I also learned where he went to school and what he did while he was in school. He got a scholarship to Duke and also attended Harvard. I learned why he became so fascinated with Haitians and Haiti itself. He was influenced by Virchow and his perspective of life. He also related Haiti with his deprived childhood as well.
