Agree or Disagree?
The assumption made by author is that people who actually help make sacrifices. I agree with Kidder's assumption because having to help someone or some people out while you have your own thing to do, is sacrificing. There isn't a time where helping out others doesn't require sacrifice of a portion of your agenda. For example, Paul Farmer, Mountains Beyond Mountains, a doctor helping out the people from Haiti. Paul Farmer, in my opinion, has made the biggest sacrifice in his life, he devotes his most of his life into help Haitians by trying to cure their sickness. Paul Farmer loves what he does, even though he does not get paid by the Haitians much, he doesn't care, he is more concerned about their health. But the biggest sacrifice in my opinion he's done is, sacrificing family time for his work and the lives of another nation. Paul Farmer's works in Haiti is what supports my opinion in making sacrifices.
