Agree or Disagree?

Within the book Mountains Beyond Mountains, Tracy Kidder, states that "The only real help comes from someone who makes sacrifices in their life to help others." In my opinion, I agree with Kidder. I agree because when you bring up an issue about deeply helping someone in need, you can not just expect to pay money and let them figure things out themselves. Its much more harder than that. It takes dedication and compassion within what you do to truly help those in need. Sacrificing is enormously important when it comes to helping a cause. You need to give up your time, and any other desires that you may have. By doing so, you develop an understanding of their struggles and it puts you through their shoes. Assisting or helping somebody is way more different than giving, but expecting some type of recognition or reward in return. Basically, it shows the ignorance  and laziness of how people are when it comes to helping someone in need.
