Agree or Disagree ?
I do agree with Kidder, the author, with his assumption that "people who actually help make sacrifices." Because for a person or group to be helping someone or a cause they must be cutting some of their time or money. Paul Farmer is actually setting a good example of this. He sacrificed everything of his to be of assistance to the Haitians. He has worked so hard to have helped his patients by giving them fair treatments on not letting them pay 80 cents to see him. He has sacrificed his time to research things that would benefit his patients. Another one is his family by him spending only four months out of the year with seeing his family and the rest is trying to cure sick Haitian people. From what Farmer did shows how a person would have to sacrifice things to help others in need.
